1. Who We Are
This Privacy Policy explains how Pujari Connect collects, uses and shares personal information when you use our website and mobile apps. It applies to Customers, pujaris and temple administrators.
2. Information We Collect
Information you give us: your name, email address, phone number, addresses, language preferences and profile photo. Pujaris also provide identity (KYC) documents, certificates, experience, tradition, rituals, prices, availability and service radius. Booking information: rituals, dates, times, addresses, messages, reviews and disputes. Payment information: payments are handled by Stripe or Razorpay; we receive a payment reference and status but never store your full card number. Device and usage information: app version, device type, push-notification token, and pages or features used. Location: if you allow it, your device location, used to show nearby pujaris and temples.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to create and manage your account; verify pujaris; show pujaris, temples and rituals near you; process bookings, payments, refunds and payouts; send booking updates by in-app, push, SMS or email notification; provide customer support and resolve disputes; keep the Platform safe and prevent fraud; improve our services; and meet legal obligations. We translate ritual names and descriptions automatically so they can be shown in your language.
4. How We Share Information
With other users: when you book, the pujari or temple sees your name, the booking details and the address needed to perform the ritual; Customers see a pujari's public profile. With service providers who work for us: payment processing (Stripe, Razorpay), SMS and one-time codes (Twilio), push notifications (Firebase), maps and translation (Google), and cloud hosting (Amazon Web Services). They may use your information only to provide their service to us. For legal reasons: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or Pujari Connect. We do not sell your personal information.
5. Identity Documents
KYC documents that pujaris upload are used only to verify identity and eligibility. They are stored securely, are visible only to authorised Pujari Connect staff, and are never shown to Customers.
6. How Long We Keep Information
We keep your information while your account is active. After you close your account we delete or anonymise it, except where we need to keep records longer for payments, tax, dispute or other legal reasons.
7. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and secure cloud infrastructure to protect your information. No system is completely secure, so please keep your password private and tell us straight away if you notice anything suspicious.
8. Your Choices and Rights
You can view and update most of your information in your profile settings, change your language, and turn location and push notifications on or off in your device settings. Depending on where you live (including California in the United States and India), you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. To make a request, email support@pujariconnect.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
9. Children
Pujari Connect is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. International Use
Pujari Connect operates in the United States and India. Your information may be processed and stored in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate, with protections as described in this policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version here, update the date above, and tell you about significant changes in the app or by email.
